The latest delivery of Sinotruk vehicles to customers is a clean sweep: three operators received their fully electric sanitation trucks from the Kapar based distributor for deployment in urban areas.

The battery electric sweeper and washer trucks come as CBUs from Sinotruk China, comprising a special purpose body that features brushes and water jets to clean roads. Emitting less noise, these vehicles will be contributing to a healthier environment in two ways: firstly they clean our roads and secondly, with lower noise emission, they reduce stress on the population living along the routes they will operate on.

Alam Flora, Southern Waste Management and E-Idaman were the recipients of the first batch of the Sinotruk special purpose vehicles. During the hand-over event, Sinotruk personnel flown in for the occasion, conducted a training on the vehicles for the new owners. According to Sendok Group’s spokesperson, this training is extremely important. In order to fully utilise the trucks, the operators need to know how to best use the tools and functions on board. Additionally, as battery electricity can be dangerous when handled incorrectly, drivers as well as workshop staff need to be trained on how to manage the system.

Demonstrations were carried out during the day, leaving the yard in front of the Sendok Group headquarters as likely the cleanest part of town.
