MFTBC Relocated KD Export Parts Warehouse to Shin-Koyasu Global Logistics Center

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (hereafter: MFTBC) has relocated its knockdown (KD, a production method where vehicle parts are exported and assembled into finished vehicles at the destination) export parts warehouse from (Higashi Ohgishima, Kawasaki Ward, Kawasaki City) to the Shin-Koyasu area of Yokohama City. Storage of KD export parts began on May 6at the new site, the Shin-Koyasu Global Logistics Center.

The Shin-Koyasu Global Logistics Center is located at the “MFLP Yokohama Shinkoyasu” building  (Namamugi, Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama City), owned by Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo Ward, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takashi Ueda) and ENEOS Real Estate Corporation (Headquarters: Naka Ward, Yokohama City, President and CEO: Itsuo Niwa). MFTBC has leased a five-story structure with a total floor area of approximately 120,000 m2 for the warehouse.

With the relocation, MFTBC can reduce logistics costs, as the distance to the shipping port is shorter, and enhance operational efficiency by optimizing the layout and automating packing and sorting operations.

The Higashi Ohgishima site, where the KD export parts warehouse previously located, exported KD parts to over 20 overseas markets since operations began in 1991. KD parts destinations include Indonesia and Taiwan, MFTBC’s largest export markets. The number of parts exported from Higashi Ohgishima reached approximately 2.2 million vehicle units by the end of April 2025.

MFTBC will continue to work towards the Daimler Truck Group’s goal of providing products and services “For All Who Keep the World Moving” by enhancing customer service and strengthening the supply of vehicles and parts.
